Is my customer data safe? What about GDPR?

Yes. U-Menu is GDPR-compliant. Customer data is stored in EU-based infrastructure. We never sell data to third parties. Orders older than 90 days are automatically anonymized. You can export or delete all venue data at any time.

What happens if I want to cancel?

Your menus and QR codes keep working. Ordering and Stripe payments stop processing. You can export your full menu and order history as CSV before you leave. No lock-in.

Can my staff use a different language than the customers?

Yes. The kitchen and order hub display in the language you choose, independently of the language customers use to browse the menu.

What are the platform fees?

The Standard plan charges 3% per paid order with no monthly fee. Pro (€47/month) unlocks AI features. Display-only menus are always free.

Do I need to create a new Stripe account?

No. Connect your existing Stripe account in one click. If you do not have one, U-Menu walks you through creating a free Stripe account during onboarding.

What is the AI Waiter?

The AI Waiter is a chat assistant on your menu page that knows your full menu — dishes, prices, allergens, and recipes. It responds in the guest's language and can recommend dishes, answer questions, and help with dietary needs. Available on Pro.

What is the Bites loyalty program?

Bites is a built-in loyalty system. Customers earn points on every order and can redeem them on future visits. You can also create promo codes that award bonus Bites. Available on Pro.
